A Review on the Humic Substances in Pelletizing Binders: Preparation, Interaction Mechanism, and Process Characteristics

Humic acid is inexpensive, and has a wide range of sources strong adsorption force with the surface iron ore, size its affected by some factors such as humic concentration, pH solution, metal cations. The modified pellet binder (MHA) adhesion high viscosity was obtained through separation purification solid wastes lignite weathered coal chemical modification treatment successfully applied in production process ore pellets. After industrial tests, MHA can significantly improve strength green dry pellets, less residue after high-temperature roasting, metallurgical pollution, fired partially or completely replace bentonite.
